Job Purpose/Role

Design and develop Mechanical-related equipment systems, layouts & calculations. Liaise with MEP Manger for theoretical
and actual design-related concerns.

Job Responsibilities

HVAC

• Well versed in Thermal Load (HAP) and Block Load Calculation in line with Local authority Regulations & International Standards.
• Knowledge in applying ARI, AHRI, Eurovent and ASHRAE Standards.
• Preparation of HVAC Design Drawings, Works specification, Equipment’s & Material Specifications.
• Thorough Working Knowledge in DX, VRF and Package unit Systems.
• Design of Low Pressure and Medium Pressure Ducts in line with SMACNA Standards.
• Authority Submission of Heat/Thermal Load Calculations and Attending the authority CFR.
• Knowledge in Sustainability Requirements of the Projects and Green Building Regulations.
• Coordination with other Disciplines Like Electrical, Telephone, Architecture, Structure, Interior Design Etc.
• Experience in the Modular Building Construciton Highly Preferred.

Plumbing

• Daily Water demand Calculations and Design of Water Tank Capacity in line with Local Authority Regulations.
• Design of Booster/Transfer Pumps Flow Rate and Head Calculations.
• Preparation of Water Supply Design Drawings, Design Installation Details as per Sanitary Wares/Fixtures, Water
  Supply Works Specifications, Equipment & Material Specifications.
• Submission of Design Water Supply Drawings to Local Authority.

Fire Fighting

• Designing of fire fighting system ,hydraulic calculations (Building & Site Development),Fire tank capacity & Fire pump sizing for industrial, commercial, or domestic purposes.
• Strong working knowledge of UAE & KSA Civil Defense Authority Regulations and International standards.
• Performing a wide range of engineering tasks by operating computer-aided design (CAD) or engineering software(s).
• Preparing selection and specifications for procurements of all mechanical equipment and materials. (HVAC, pumps,plumbing, sprinkler…)
• Check & Approve MTKO’s and ensure that requisition is done with all required documents.
• Records Changes for the delivery of As Built drawings for his projects.
• Interfacing with clients, engineers, site team and others stakeholders during project execution
• Build and maintain effective relationships with all stakeholders (i.e., clients, consultants, subcontractors, etc), and work constructively with others to efficiently achieve required business outcomes.

Qualification and Experience

Minimum Qualification & Experience:

• Minimum 10+ Years GCC Experience in Building Construction – MEP Design Division.
• Graduate of Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (registered or licensed engineer are preferred).
• Strong knowledge and skills in Mechanical design and other related tasks.
• Strong communication, time management, and supervisory skills (if required).
• Excellent knowledge of international and local codes (KSA & UAE). Aramco code is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills & multi-tasking abilities.
• Well-knowledgeable with Microsoft Office Tools.
• Ability to work well in a team and under pressure.
• Ability to respond well to criticism & maintain a positive attitude.
